    Outcome insights and achievements

Outcome progress note for the year

Output 5.1. Effective normative, programmatic and coordination products, services and processes

During the year 2024, the Kenya CO improved its business processes by making use of the corporate dash board (Power BI) to generate financial reports e.g delivery and utilization reports, partner aged advance, AAA reports. There was also significant progress achieved in terms of evaluations. Out of the three evaluations submitted for assessment, 100% were good or very good. These three were evaluations were: - Final evaluation of the women economic empowerment through climate-smart agriculture (WEE CSA) in Kenya project- assessed as good - Final evaluation report of the Let it not happen again project, finalized in Jan 2024 - assessed as very good - Final evaluation report for the Women's leadership, empowerment, access and protection (LEAP) project - assessed as very good In addition, the Office carried out a MTR of the Kenya SN 2023-2026, which confirmed that the Programme is relevant and UN Women able to address the needs of women and girls. KCO was also part of the Final evaluation of the Consolidating democratic dividends for sustainable transformation project in Kenya (UN Women, UNDP and OHCHR), and included in the Corporate thematic evaluation of UN Women's support to women's political participation. Finally, UN Women colleagues took part in the light CCA review which is currently undergoing and will be completed in 2025

Output 5.1. Effective normative, programmatic and coordination products, services and processes

Three country programme evaluations (Italy, Finland and Japan) were conducted in Q4 2023 in addition to two other evaluations (one global on women leadership and one for the joint devolution programme) that were conducted in 2023. The three evaluations have not yet been assessed by HQ during the GERAAS criteria thus data will be included in 2024 annual report. Using platforms such as Quantum (rolled out in 2023), DAMS, PGAMs and GST, KCO has managed to improve its business processes- for example with regard to addressing requests.
