In 2024, UN Women South Sudan Country office improved operational efficiencies by leveraging UN Common System services to streamline procurement processes. This included utilizing long-term agreements (LTAs) established by other UN agencies for hotel and conferencing services, travel agency services, mobile and data communication services, and security services. These collaborative efforts reduced costs, improved service delivery, and strengthened the integration of operations across UN entities in South Sudan. The Country Office actively participated in the UN Operations Management Team (OMT) and its working groups, including the HR Network and Finance/HACT Working Groups. Through these platforms, the office contributed to and benefited from shared solutions to address local business process challenges.
