In 2024, a dedicated HR role was full introduced to our office. This separation of responsibilities has significantly streamlined the recruitment process. As a result, the average time-to-hire, measured from the vacancy announcement closure to the notification of the selected candidate, has been successfully reduced to the target value of 13 weeks. We remain committed to further optimizing this timeframe in the years to come Enhancing staff competence and maintaining a balanced work culture. The VCO’s staff training plan with a view to ensuring all staff have the knowledge to perform their roles and are supported for their career advancement. VCO also provide AI training that benefits to all staff in practice i.e. quicky prepare Working Slides, Data Analysis and Research, Set up project...With AI-enabled technology becoming commonplace, the UN Women System is beginning to take advantage of the latest digital tools to bring gender equality closer to reality. UN Women Viet Nam is joining in this progress.

Through advancements in shortening the time required for online written tests, the average duration from the closure of a vacancy announcement until a candidate is the selected and candidate is notified has been successfully reduced and maintained at the standard of 16 weeks. Our ongoing commitment is to further decrease this timeframe in the coming years. To enhance the working environment, our office conducted a "staff engagement" initiative resulting from the Team Health Survey. This effort addresses issues hindering UN Women's progress, provides insights into feedback mechanisms, encourages contributions among working teams to facilitate better collaboration, promotes mutual understanding, and fosters trust among team members. As a result, valuable learning points have emerged , contributing to a more positive and cohesive working culture among team members in the upcoming year.

In the reporting year, with the improvement in shortening time in using online written test, the avarage number of weeks from the time the vacancy annoucement closes until the selected candidate is notified has been reduced 8% and we are aiming to reduce more in the coming years. With continued quarterly surveys about the various values of working at UN Women Vietnam office plus imrpoving working environment, the office has reached progress with reduced in staff turn over rate (from 15% in 2021 to 5% in 2022).
