UN-Women strategically plans for and transforms its business model to deliver impact at scale, through agile and ethical leadership rooted in a continuous improvement culture
To deliver impact at scale, in 2023 UN Women initiated a substantive business model transformation, refocusing its programmes and operations at country level through the establishment of UN Women Yemen Country Office (de-linking from the previous UN Women Iraq and Yemen Cluster Office). The new business model and structure effectively responds to the extremely complex Yemen operational context and it is the result of a long-term analytical and strategic planning process that will enable UN Women CO to optimize the human and financial resources available while mobilizing additional contributions to (a) scale up interventions and results achieved to date, (b) boost the integration of GEWE and WPS/YPS principles across HDP nexus interventions, and (c) enhance the capacity of UN System entities and development partners for gender-transformative action, including through enhanced gender-responsive data collection and management.
