The UN Women Regional Office for Asia-Pacific (ROAP) oversees country presences in 22 countries across the region providing knowledge management, capacity-building, resource mobilization and partnership development, as well as communications and advocacy support. Working with national and regional partners including government, private sector and civil society, UN Women addresses inequalities and discrimination, and promotes behavioral and social norms change.
The ROAP focus on five cross-thematic areas to drive results to complex and inter-connected challenges and emphasize collaboration across silos:
- Inclusive Governance
- Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (eVAWG)
- Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE)
- Women Peace and Security (WPS)
- Climate Change, Humanitarian Action (HA), and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
