The UN Women Multi-Country Office (MCO) - Caribbean located in Barbados, covers 22 countries - the CARICOM member states, Dutch Caribbean Islands and British Overseas Territories. In 2021, the final year of the UN Women four-year strategic note, the MCO Caribbean continued its technical and financial support to Governments, civil society and in partnership with UN and other development partners on (i) establishing global norms for legislation, policies and standards on gender equality; (ii) women’s income security, decent work and economic autonomy; (iii) ending violence against women and girls and (iv) humanitarian response, climate resilience and gender-responsive disaster risk reduction and preparedness. The MCO has programme presence at its main office in Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
