The World Bank classifies economies for analytical purposes into four income groups: low, lower-middle, upper-middle, and high income. For this purpose it uses gross national income (GNI) per capita data in U.S. dollars, converted from local currency using the World Bank Atlas method, which is applied to smooth exchange rate fluctuations.

Improved management of financial and human resources in pursuit of results.
Despite a very challenging year in the form of political, economic and humantarian crises unfolding in Sri Lanka, the office has adapted where possible and achieved a utilisation rate of 97% and a delivery rate of 74%. [The latter figure will increase once payments are resolved in Quantum.] This has been possible through the commitment of staff, deployment of successful measures to re-programme funds, close collaboration with partners, and rigourous management of financial resources.Showing 11 - 11 of 11
