Promote the UN normative mandate to support for norms and standards and the UN system coordination mandate to improve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.
The main outcomes in 2023 are: -The strengthening of the Government of Argentina and civil society organizations through the support and advocacy strategies carried out by UN Women. Argentina's visibility is noteworthy in its role as the country presiding the Regional Conference on Women for Latin America and the Caribbean and the Vice Presidency of the Social and Legal Commission for Women on behalf of Group of Latin America and the Caribbean (GRULAC) https://conferenciamujer.cepal.org/15/es https://www.ipu.org/about-ipu/members/geopolitical-groups/grulac-group-latin-america-and-caribbean" - UN Women led the integration of the gender perspective on the annual update of the Common Country Analysis and the actualization of the UNCT SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard fulfiting its coordination mandate to ensure gender equality mainstreaming in the actions of UNS agencies, funds and programmes. https://argentina.un.org/sites/default/files/2023-12/Informe%20CCA%202023%20Argentina.pdf - UN Women, along with other agencies, conducted advocacy actions during 2023 to advance current regulations on care. These actions contributed to the regulation of article 179 of the labour contract law which obliges the employer sector to provide childcare facilities in companies with more than 100 employees. Likewise, this project demonstrates the sustainability of the strategy, as its realization stems from the work previously carried out within the framework of the interagency project with UNOPS and the Ministry of Public Works.

23 out of 24 provincial mechanisms for gender equality and the advancement of women now exchange good practices, collaborate and work together for gender equality and women’s empowerment, thanks to the support provided by UN Women through a federal dialogue process.
