Assuring an accountable organization through principled performance

Accountability to the UN Women mandate is a high priority for the Office. In a complex political environment with shrinking donor space, in a small country of below 2 million citziens, UN/UN Women is more exposed and more visible through high level events with high level governemnt officials,and also through our field work. To avoid reputational risks ansd negative perceptions this has been discussed with the team during regular weekly staff meetings and bilateral meetings/feedback. Maintaining partnerships and further positioning of UN Women including in the UNCT has been high on the agenda, evidence by positive feedback from the Resident Coordinator, completion of SWAP gender Equality Score Card, supported to be OMT Chair for second consecutive year, HoO nominated by the RC and by the ECARO Senior Mangement as the Gender Parity Focal Point for teh UNCT in North MAcedonia and for ECAR region, successful resource mobilization (new 2.1 million USA dollars secured in the reporting period) etc. Delivery of the objectives and funds closely monitored and the percentage acghieved speak for itself. Positive external evaluations of GRB and GEF projects, praised by the donors (Sida /SDC)
