The UN Women Uganda SN brochure presents UN Women Uganda’s Strategic Note 2026–2030, outlining a comprehensive roadmap to advance gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the realization of the rights of all women and girls in Uganda. Building on progress achieved in women’s leadership, access to justice, peace and security, and the transformation of harmful social norms, the Strategic Note focuses on three interconnected outcomes: -

• Reducing discriminatory norms and structural barriers
• Strengthening gender-responsive governance and access to justice
• Expanding women’s economic empowerment and resilient livelihoods.

Through evidence-based programming, strategic partnerships, gender-responsive climate action, and UN system coordination, UN Women will work with government, civil society, development partners, and the private sector to ensure that women and girls, especially those furthest behind, can lead, thrive, and contribute to sustainable and inclusive development in Uganda.
